The Democratic candidate for state agriculture commissioner said he will work to restore the department’s credibility if elected in November.
“I will do the job much differently than it is currently being done,” Ricky Cole said. “We will work to restore the department’s credibility with the public and rebuild effective working relationships.”
“I’m proud of the job we’ve done,” Spell said. “I’m running on my record, experience and leadership abilities.”
The agricultural commissioner is responsible for promoting agriculture, developing and enforcing agriculture regulations and protecting crops from theft.
