When a political candidate is endorsed publicly by an individual or organization it often brings the endorsed candidate valuable media exposure. Beyond that it’s not so clear whether endorsements make much difference in deciding the outcome of an election.
Those who endorse candidates are not always considering all of the people running for a particular office, even though they sometimes make it sound as if they did consider them all.
