If Jackson Mayor Frank Melton follows through on his renewed plans to clean up Farish Street, it would be a giant step for Jackson.
Once elected, Melton said of the project: “We’re not reinventing the wheel, here. We have to finish up the current project as quickly as possible because it’s been approved and money is there.”
Melton also declared then that he would expand improvements. Yet, almost two years later, there’s little change. It was scheduled to be complete April, 2006.
