Less than a month after lawmakers ended their regular session, Gov. Haley Barbour is bringing them back to the Capitol to consider $48.4 million of bond money to lure a powertrain manufacturing and assembly plant to Lowndes County, but he’s not yet naming the company involved.
Barbour set the special session to start at 9 a.m. Friday. He said in a statement Wednesday that he hopes the gathering will be “short and productive.”
