The buzzing and beeps of a BlackBerry or a cell phone don’t disturb Sen. Thad Cochran from doing the people’s business. As for his cell phone, Cochran said he uses the device only to make calls, never to receive them.
“Nobody knows what the number is and I never have it on except when I’m making a call,” Cochran said. “I can disturb others, but I’m exempt from being disturbed if I don’t want to be.”
