MEC pleased with 2022 session’s results for workforce development

Scott Waller, President and CEO of the Mississippi Economic Council (MEC), joined Y’all Politics on Monday to recap the 2022 legislative session and to promote MEC’s Annual Meeting that is back to being in April.

Waller highlighted specific legislation passed during the session aimed at providing students with career pathways and career coaches, further adding to the focus on workforce development and training reaching into K-12 schools in Mississippi.

Governor Tate Reeves, Dr. Thomas Dobbs and the Mississippi Mass Choir are set to headline MEC’s Annual Meeting next Thursday, April 21st. For more details on the event and to learn about the breakout sessions available, visit www.mec.ms.
