In Thursday’s press conference, Gov. Tate Reeves discusses how businesses are stepping up in the fight against the impact of COVID-19.
“Mississippians helping Mississippians. Small businesses stepping up to help combat COVID-19. That’s what we’re highlighting in today’s daily briefing,” said Reeves.
Governor Reeves highlighted many businesses who are doing their part to help others during the pandemic. These businesses include the Mississippi based Blue Delta Jeans company that switched gears to make masks during the pandemic. Jackson’s Cathead Distillery has also been making hand sanitizer for businesses that have stayed open as well as individuals.
Reeves encouraged Mississippians to continue buying Mississippi products like Lazy Magnolia beer and Cathead vodka.
Another construction company based in Natchez, Great River Industries is using their skills to do their part. They decided to donate 100 percent of the masks that they had as well as donating meals to the local hopsital in Natchez and their very own employees.
