The American Conservative Union launched a statewide ad buy today urging voters to call Cindy Hyde-Smith to urge her to keep fighting for President Trump’s Rebate Reform Plan.
This ad buy is noteworthy as Hyde-Smith is not currently on the ballot in 2019. However, it’s widely assumed she will be running for re-election in 2020.
According to the ACU, 18 Senators and 33 House members (all Republicans) had similar ads cut in their districts backed by TV ad purchases. The ads will be rolling out in the coming days and weeks.
Hyde-Smith has been previously recognized by the ACU, best known for its CPAC event, for the Conservative Achievement Award. She earned an 82% score on their most recent conservative scorecard.
