Y’all Politics is pleased to announce the addition of Courtney Carter as a Political Correspondent. Carter, of Brandon, will focus most of her coverage on political campaigns and continue to contribute to the platform’s leadership position in that space. Additionally, she will be contributing some longer form thought pieces regarding education in Mississippi.
Carter was formally a multimedia journalist for News Mississippi and Telesouth Communications. Since then, she worked with the Mississippi Department of Public Safety in communications.
Carter is a graduate of Southern Miss. She and her husband Jeremy have one daughter, Taylor Scott.
“I’m excited to continue to serve the people of Mississippi through journalism,” said Carter. “Y’all Politics provides a unique media voice in the state that you won’t find anywhere else, and I’m elated to be part of the coverage.”
