The McDaniel Hostage Crisis – Day 10 – Bounty hunters and telemarketers #mchostage #mssen

By: Magnolia Tribune - July 4, 2014

We interrupt our coverage for a special report.

Yesterday, all was quiet in McDaniel-land – remarkably so until about 9:30 a.m. The Chris McDaniel campaign posted the first ever (we believe) fundraising email combined with a pledge to pay 15 seperate $1,000 bounties for information leading to arrest/conviction of voter fraud in the June 24 election. It was the political equivalent of a real-time transfer payment – solicit money from some so it can be paid to those less fortunate (with the less fortunate being defined as those who would be willing to say they’ve heretofore been sitting on evidence of voter fraud since June 24 but didn’t have the proper motivation to come forward and tell someone). The Cochran team responded by basically calling McDaniel a narcissist (after they stopped laughing hysterically).

It’s been reported that renowned bounty hunter Leonard Smalls and Dog the Bounty hunter were both seen in the Jackson area yesterday and were heading to Laurel for Independence day.

All of this strangeness seems to be a tacit admission by the campaign that 10 days after the election, they don’t have in hand the first bit of evidence of “voter fraud” because it’s almost impossible to believe they wouldn’t be trying to exploit it. Having to “buy” that evidence is not going over well and GOP brass are again rolling their eyes in disbelief. Gawker and Esquire had particularly good takes (‘Was it over when Chris McDaniel bombed Pearl Harbor?)

Then later in the afternoon, two more items. First, since McDaniel couldn’t get a hold of Thad Cochran (since he’s in DC – being a US Senator), he decided to drop off a note for the Cochran family via Thad’s son, Clayton (I’m crapping you negative). That letter basically said that McDaniel intended to scrutinize voting records statewide.

And just when you thought everyone would knock off early for a 4th of July weekend, a story hits the Clarion Ledger that says that a so-called ‘Liberty Action Center’ group that has done some work for Mississippi for Liberty (whose active members included Clayton Kelly)was impersonating the McDaniel campaign and making calls to MS voters with a “script that said there was evidence pointing toward Thad Cochran being involved in illegal and irregular voting practices, some of which included double-voting and even “deceased people voting.”

Here’s the audio of Sam Hall making the call.

That’s the way it was – Day 10 of the McDaniel Hostage Crisis.

Have a happy 4th of July.

Good day Mississippi – and good luck.
