New Book On Dickie Scruggs, Paul Minor Released
James R. “Jim” Crockett, 71, is a Madison resident who grew up in south Jackson and spent his career as an Air Force officer and university professor and administrator. His newest book, “Power Greed Hubris: Judicial Bribery in Mississippi,” published by University Press of Mississippi, was released Jan. 1. It chronicles the complicated stories of the scandals of Mississippi trial lawyers Paul Minor and Richard “Dickie” Scruggs and Judge Bobby DeLaughter, from 2003 to 2009. He also authored “Hands in the Till: The Embezzlement of Public Monies in Mississippi” and “Operation Pretense: The FBI’s Sting on County Corruption in Mississippi.”
