Biloxi has its baseball team, Southern League announces

Biloxi has its baseball team, Southern League announces

The Southern League made it official late Friday, announcing in a press release the Huntsville Stars, the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, will move to Biloxi in 2015.

The Stars will continue to play at Joe W. Davis Stadium, the oldest stadium in the Southern League, for the 2014 season before moving to a new Biloxi stadium the following spring.

Principal owner Miles Prentice sold the Huntsville team to an ownership group led by Ken Young, who owns four other minor league baseball teams and a hockey team.
