State poised for job creation, MDA director Christensen says

Mississippi is poised for solid job growth and creation, according to the executive director of the Mississippi Development Authority.

Brent Christensen spoke to the Area Development Partnership on Friday, discussing his first months at the MDA, his past in Hattiesburg and Mississippi’s future.

Christensen began as a business reporter at the Hattiesburg American before moving on to a post at the ADP. While there, he oversaw the relocation of a Kohler engine manufacturing facility to Hattiesburg. Tapped to lead the MDA by Gov. Phil Bryant in May, Christensen left the Gainesville, Fla., Area Chamber of Commerce.
