Have strokes left Hinds supervisor a political pawn?
When Hinds County District 2 Supervisor Doug Anderson struggled to put words together during Monday’s board meeting, it wasn’t the first time he’d had trouble in recent months.
That’s because Anderson, who is diabetic, suffered a stroke in December. It was his second in less than six months.
His daughter, Atlanta resident Jackie Anderson Woods, said family members have not publicly acknowledged he’d had a second stroke, but believe after Monday’s meeting, it’s necessary.
