Harper – JOBS Act clears first hurdle

By: Magnolia Tribune - March 9, 2012

Dear Friend,

The bipartisan “JOBS Act” cleared its first legislative hurdle today when House lawmakers passed the six-bill package that aims to spur job growth and jumpstart the economy.

Getting Americans back to work by promoting jobs and facilitating small business capital has been a constant theme of the Republican-led House. The Small Business Administration reports that over 60 percent of new jobs in America are generated by small businesses. This is why Congress must break down the burdensome barriers job creators face from excessive federal regulations.

The “JOBS Act” is designed to enhance economic expansion by helping startups and entrepreneurs get off of the ground and access capital. The jobs package must now gain approval from the Senate before reaching the president’s desk where the White House has signaled support of the legislation through a Statement of Administration Policy.
