Lynn Fitch ad wins top national award
Not only did Madison’s own Lynn Fitch win the race for Mississippi State Treasurer, the television ad that helped her won big as well.
The 2011 commercial featuring her son J. T. Mitchell took top honors at the fourth annual Reed Awards in Washington, D.C. this month. The 30 second spot won the award for Best TV Ad for a Republican Statewide or State Legislative Campaign for 2011.
“I’m thrilled!” Fitch said, when she learned the news. “Every place I went during the campaign, people wanted to know about J.T.,” she laughed. “I think he signed as many autographs as I did!”
