I saw one Hewes ad attacking Reeves and one Reeves ad attacking Hewes. There was one Phil Bryant ad (his wife was saying good things about him), three Lucien Smith ads, two Lynn Fitch ads, and one Tim Johnson commercial (Elvis for Transportation Commissioner). That’s it. No other GOP governor candidate. No Democratic governor candidate. All in all, a very weak showing, easily the slowest campaign season of my political life. And, one of these days we’ll learn why the Dennis campaign threw in the towel.
