Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a key endorsement for Republicans in the 2012 field, is going to back fellow state chief executive Haley Barbour if the southerner goes ahead with a presidential run, according to a report.

Kasich’s plan was posted on Twitter by Paul West, national political correspondent in D.C. for the Tribune Co.
“Kasich: I’m for Haley. Ohio guv says he’s with Barbour if Miss guv runs for prez,” West tweeted, without providing further details.
