CL looks at hot topic bills taking a backseat to redistricting
While state lawmakers tackle redistricting proposals and budget plans, some pieces of legislation remain unresolved at the Capitol.
Two have been especially contentious this year – spurring demonstrations from advocacy groups and heated debates.

One would ease concerns for the safety of small children, and another would give the city of Jackson a way to fund its water upgrades.
