Instead, Ole Miss is 1-2 and with issues on defense. If Ole Miss loses to Fresno State (and it’s possible), forget about a bowl. It’s still in credibly early, but it’s not far-fetched to think Ole Miss-Fresno State in September could determine whether the Birmingham Bowl has an SEC vs. Big East matchup or C- USA vs. MAC matchup in January.
