Auburn quarterback Cam Newton dazzles in debut
AUBURN — Tough to hear yourself think right now, late on Saturday night here on the Plains, with all that clatter in the distance, all those printing presses rolling out the “Cam Newton 2 The Heisman” bumper stickers.
Not that anybody might be generating a tiny bit of hype about the red-letter debut of Auburn’s new quarterback, with his runs to immortality, his poise, his absurd numbers and his leadership in the 52-26 trouncing of Arkansas State.
