Wicker says he’ll vote against Kagan
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi Republican Sen. Roger Wicker says he will vote against Solicitor General Elena Kagan for the U.S. Supreme Court.
In a statement released by his office on Wednesday, Wicker says he made the decision after meeting with Kagan and reviewing her work.
Wicker says Kagan “demonstrates a troubling tendency to insert her personal beliefs when making decisions and recommendations, even in open defiance of federal law or the Constitution.”
