Texas is the early leader for top class, but a few SEC powers are not far behind

First things first: This is way early and things are going to change. Players will change their minds and more than half of the players in the ESPNU 150 are still undecided. Remember, this is just a starting point. We simply looked at which programs have the best classes based on commitments they have right now.

Using that formula, Mack Brown’s Texas Longhorns, which annually locks up top players early, is the No. 1 team. And while the Big 12 has two teams in the top four (Oklahoma is the other one), the SEC dominates the early rankings with eight teams in the top 25, including five in the top 10.
