Count Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt among those who were surprised that quarterback Jevan Snead went unselected in the recent NFL draft. “I thought he’d go in the third, fourth or fifth round,” Nutt said. “But you never know.”
Snead left Ole Miss a year early, even though he struggled during a junior season that included 20 interceptions. Snead signed a free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just hours after the seven-round draft was completed.
