WTVA – Barbour will join lawsuit with or without Hood

In a news release, Barbour said Mississippi will join other states challenging the law in court.

He’s waiting for that lawsuit to be amended after President Obama signs off on changes in the law approved by Congress Thursday.

“If, by that time, you have determined you wish to represent the state, I would appreciate your office doing so,” Barbour wrote to Hood.

“If you decide otherwise, I will retain outside counsel and provide your office with a copy of the contract for your ratification.”
