Congressman Childers’ Statement on Health Care Reconciliation Vote
Washington, DC – Congressman Travis Childers (MS-01) released the following statement regarding his vote on final health care reconciliation legislation:
“Last weekend, I was unable to support the Senate health care bill or reconciliation legislation, and my position remains the same. The only changes made to the reconciliation language since then have been unrelated to the health care portion of the bill or to the cost of overall health care reform legislation, a primary concern of mine. I still know how important health care reform is and I will continue to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle towards reform that makes sense for North Mississippi.”
