A healthier Urban Meyer plans to return for spring practices

That leave of absence is looking more like a long weekend off.

Less than a month after flip-flopping on his job, Florida coach Urban Meyer said he plans to coach every day of spring practices that begin March 17.
Meyer, who announced a leave of absence on Dec. 27 after resigning a day earlier for health reasons, plans to undergo comprehensive medical tests for his heart, stress level, everything.
Meyer is “feeling really good” after working out and gaining 20 pounds since late December. Meyer has been advised by wife Shelley and Athletics Director Jeremy Foley to take time off after National Signing Day on Feb. 3, Meyer said.
