DeLaughter still broke the law
I think I can understand Charles Evers’ defending ex-judge Bobby DeLaughter because of his past record, but there is a major problem that permeates our country and that is the lack of personal responsibility and accountability. We keep making excuses for someone or ourselves.
Also a major problem is the fact that Mr. DeLaughter was charged and sworn to uphold the law and protect the integrity of the court.
When we excuse lying by the very people who are responsible for maintaining that integrity, we have just jumped off a dangerous cliff from which there may be no return.
