Minor asks for leave to go to son’s wedding
Jailed Biloxi attorney Paul Minor has asked for a temporary release from prison to attend his son’s wedding in New York this weekend, a lawyer representing him told the Sun Herald Wednesday.
Greenwood attorney Hiram Eastland Jr. said Minor has asked prison officials for permission to attend his son Stephen’s nuptials, but Eastland has not heard whether officials would grant the request.
Minor is serving 11 years in a minimum security prison in Pensacola after being found guilty in 2007 in a judicial bribery conspiracy, but his conviction is being appealed.
