Charlie Ross kills at roast of Lt. Governor Phil Bryant

Got home late from the Roast of Lt. Governor Phil Bryant and overall it was a pretty funny night. Phil was good and took some pointed shots at me (and I took some shots at him, too – that’s what roasts are about after all). Andy Taggart was very good and Malcolm McMillin had some funny moments, too. Sid Salter hosted the evening in his normal excellent way. Dr. Saunders from USM did a good job as well. But the surprise of the night was Charlie Ross, who was hilarious. Yes, you read that correctly — I could have seen Sid Salter fly around the room and been less surprised. He even did Mr. Burn’s classic line, “Excellent.” If had been drinking milk, it would have come out of my nose.
