Less than a week after their debate at the University of Mississippi, congressional candidates Travis Childers and Greg Davis faced off again – this time placing even more emphasis on their political differences.
The opponents participated Tuesday in a 50-minute debate moderated by Daily Journal Editor Lloyd Gray and sponsored by Cellular South Networking @ Noon. It was held at the BancorpSouth Conference Center, and nearly 200 people attended.
Childers, a Democrat, and Davis, a Republican, answered seven questions on topics like the economy, the war in Iraq, partisan politics and earmarks.
Although the two agreed on several core issues, they also sought to differentiate themselves from the competition.
