Jason Bosley’s offensive line switch boosts Auburn offensive attack

AUBURN — Jason Bosley was a standout guard at Grissom High School in Huntsville.
He’s been a reliable center since he arrived at Auburn.

As far as Bosley can remember, his last snap at tackle was in ninth grade, more than eight years ago.
So last Wednesday, when coaches approached him about switching from center to tackle, his apprehension was understandable.
“I was really, really nervous before the game,” Bosley said.
But after he held his own in warm-ups against Antonio Coleman, Auburn’s standout defensive end, Bosley’s worries started to fade. “I was like, ‘OK, if I can block him, I can block anybody.'”
Bosley was Auburn’s top-ranked lineman in Saturday’s Southern Mississippi game, grading out at a near-perfect 94 percent and earning SEC linemen of the week honors. Offensive coordinator Tony Franklin wasn’t surprised by the quick transition.
