Members and leaders of the Mississippi Gaming Commission will host a hearing for the House of Representatives on Monday at 1 p.m. about having a state lottery.
State Reps. John Mayo and Alice Clark wrote up the bill last summer.
Clark has been working on getting a state lotto passed for years.
Mayo said all of the money earned will go to the general scholarship. The scholarship money will help children across the state pay for college.
