AG defends office as suit is settled
Attorney General Jim Hood defended his office Thursday from those criticizing his ties with Mississippi lawyer Dickie Scruggs, now facing a March 31 trial on judicial bribery charges.
There should be no guilt by association, Hood said. “This office operates independently of politics.”
