Four Jackson firefighter recruits who were fired because they failed a psychological examination were rehired at the request of Mayor Frank Melton.
The recruits likely will retake the test to determine whether psychologists administering the test caused them to fail, Fire Chief Vernon Hughes said. In the past, others have retaken the test.
