The Jackson City Council is scheduled to vote for a new president and vice president at its 6 p.m. meeting tonight.
Ward 4 Councilman Frank Bluntson has been president since former Ward 1 Councilman Ben Allen resigned in June.
Though little open discussion on the matter has occurred, Bluntson has said he would be a contender for the office.
