The seemingly unbeatable Malcolm McMillin will keep his office as Hinds County sheriff for at least another four years.
Some saw McMillin’s opponents as more of a ploy hatched by Jackson Mayor Frank Melton than a serious threat to the sheriff’s incumbency.
Saying Melton put Lewis and Williams up to running against him, McMillin has called his opponents mere “surrogates” of the mayor.
