McMillin prevails

By: Magnolia Tribune - August 8, 2007

The Clarion-Ledger, 8/8/7

The seemingly unbeatable Malcolm McMillin will keep his office as Hinds County sheriff for at least another four years.

Some saw McMillin’s opponents as more of a ploy hatched by Jackson Mayor Frank Melton than a serious threat to the sheriff’s incumbency.

Saying Melton put Lewis and Williams up to running against him, McMillin has called his opponents mere “surrogates” of the mayor.
