Mississippi Police Benevolent Association Endorses Hosemann

The Mississippi Police Benevolent Association “The Voice of Law Enforcement Officers” endorsed Delbert Hosemann for Secretary of State in a letter dated July 5th 2007.

In the endorsement letter addressed to Mr. Hosemann, Chris Skinner the Mississippi Division President of the MSPBA wrote “We will ask our members, their friends and families, and all citizens who respect the strong and efficient enforcement of our laws to cast their ballots in the upcoming election in your favor.”

The MSPBA is comprised of 13 separate chapters with a membership of over 2000 uniformed officers from across Mississippi. The MSPBA is a growing division of the Southern States Police Benevolent Association.

The MSPBA Endorsement was welcomed by Hosemann who has been a dedicated ally of law enforcement members and their families. Hosemann served as the Treasurer of Mississippi Law Enforcement and Firefighters Katrina Relief Fund “Back the Badge” in 2005 and 2006. Hosemann was also recognized by the United States Department of Justice for his commitment to law enforcement with the George L. Phillips Community Service Award on December 9, 2006 “In Appreciation For Your Unfailing and Distinguished Service as Project Safe Neighborhoods Steering Committee Chairman and For Your Leadership in Districts Anti Gang Initiative and Back the Badge Hurricane Katrina First Responder Assistance Project.”

While accepting the endorsement Delbert Hosemann stated. “I greatly respect and will continue to support those men and women in uniform who risk their lives every day to protect our families.”
