Mike Lott promotes ideas in first statewide race

Mike Lott says the Mississippi Legislature should resolve several issues about how the secretary of state’s office operates and how people register to vote.

Lott, a two-term legislator who reports he keeps his teaching certification current, seeks to become the next secretary of state, now that longtime officeholder Eric Clark has decided to retire.
