If the Mississippi Democratic Party desires to retain its credibility, it’s time that the party remove Noxubee County Democratic Party Executive Committee Chairman Ike Brown from any position of party power or leadership.
In Voting Rights Act litigation that gained national attention for its novelty, the U.S. Justice Department in 2005 filed a federal lawsuit against the Noxubee County Democratic Executive Committee and Brown accusing them of systematic discrimination against minority white voters, white candidates and those whites who supported them in the majority black county.
