Gov. Haley Barbour sidestepped whether he would call lawmakers to Jackson for a special session to approve a court-ordered voter ID system at the polls.
However, he doubts the Legislature could comply with a recent federal judge’s decision if they return as scheduled in January.
“We’ll see,” Barbour said of a special session. “I don’t have a special session planned, haven’t set a date for a special session.”
