The son of former Jackson Mayor Kane Ditto said today he will run for the vacant Ward 1 City Council seat.
John Ditto, a 36-year-old real estate developer, said he decided to vie for the position after Ben Allen announced last week he was resigning due to health concerns. This will be the first political campaign for Ditto, a Republican.
