A discussion about crime at Monday’s Jackson City Council meeting sparked fireworks between some council members and Mayor Frank Melton.
“I am very sorry about the events that may or may not have happened this weekend, but it’s something that has affected all of us, including me,” Melton said.
Some council members wondered if the mayor was questioning whether or not the robbery actually happened.
