“We are in better shape today than we have ever been in the past 25 years as far as financing in the state of Mississippi,” said state Sen. Jack Gordon Jr., D-Okolona, at the Founder’s Day Breakfast at Mississippi Valley State University.
Gordon, who chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee and is a 31-year veteran of the Legislature, was introduced as the “powerhouse” of the state Senate by Sen. David Jordan, D-Greenwood.
