Lauren Stokes, an employee in the Vice Chancellor's Office for Development has drawn scrutiny on the University of Mississippi after sharing a social media post which seemed to justify the killing of Charlie Kirk. Her profile has been scrubbed from university websites.

Other cities around Mississippi are also considering similar ordinances to crack down on panhandling under a new state law.
