Under the proposal released in Washington late Tuesday, 16 economies would face 10% levies for allegedly failing to enforce bans on forced labor. Dozens of other countries would be hit with 12.5% import taxes.

Mississippi’s SNAP error rate is said to be down but state still likely on the hook for millions
Under the changes in the One Big Beautiful Bill, a state with an error rate above 6% will be required to provide matching funds. As of May 27th, Mississippi's SNAP error rate has declined to 8.69%, down from the reported 10.69% last June, per MDHS.
