U.S. employers still reluctant to add many jobs as hiring slows in June

The Labor Department said Thursday that the unemployment rate declined to a low 4.2% from 4.3% in May, though the drop mostly occurred because many people out of work gave up looking and were no longer counted as unemployed.

DeSoto County residents sue over new circuit, chancery court districts

The plaintiffs allege that the reason the state allowed the creation of the majority-minority district was based on race, and pointed to statements made on the floor of the Mississippi House of Representatives.
