Mississippi Tax Day deadline extended to July 15th to match Federal Deadline

By: Frank Corder - May 6, 2020

The Mississippi Department of Revenue has extended the income tax filing deadline to July 15, 2020, according to a release sent via Twitter Wednesday morning.  This brings the state inline with the extended federal deadline, also set for July 15th.

The DOR had previously extended the deadline to May 15th out of concern for the state’s fiscal year end in June.

The release states that the decision was made to extend the Mississippi deadline to July 15th after consultation with the Governor, Lt. Governor and Speaker of the House.
