There was laughter, there were tears and there was one common theme for those close to the sophomore football player who died Tuesday after a brief bout with cancer.
“The strongest emotion there is is love,” an emotional MSU coach Dan Mullen said in front of a crowd estimated to exceed 1,500. “And when you feel the love that I know I felt, that our team felt, our community felt for Nick, that emotion can overwhelm you.”
