Tiger Woods will hold a news conference – his first in nearly five months – on the Monday of Masters Week.
According to a tentative interview schedule released by Augusta National yesterday, Woods will speak at 2 p.m. on April 5.
It will be the first time the world’s No. 1 player faces a room full of reporters since he crashed his SUV into a tree on Nov. 27, setting off revelations of rampant infidelity.
Arnold Palmer, one of the most popular players in golf history and a longtime media darling, suggested that Woods be more open with reporters.
“I suppose the best thing he could do would be open up and just let you guys shoot at him,” Palmer said. “That’s just my thought.”
